You are allowed to have a 100 rounds per callibre in Namibia two guns per person . Your Airline might restrict you by weight. You are also welcome to rent guns from Africa Thirstland Safaris

-Electrical converter adaptor – for Namibia (electric is 220)

-Lockable ammo holder for airlines (ammo is packed in your check-in luggage and not with gun).

-Ammo (100 rounds for gun) – 11 pounds total weight for ammo
-Small backpack
-Binoculars
-Snacks for during the day
-Baseball cap and/or rim hat
-Ear plugs
-Sunglasses
-Good walking boots (with good ankle support)
-Shoes for around lodge (tennis shoes)
-Chapstick
-Personal hygiene items
-Sunscreen/SPF 30 or higher (Sun can be very hot during the day)
-Camera – Camera bag
-Travel mug (if you would like)
-Any chargers (for camera, ipod, ipad, cell phones, etc.)
-Extra batteries if needed
-Lens pen for cleaning rifle scope and camera lens
-Soft gun case (for transporting to lodge) along with your hard gun case for airlines
-Form 4457 (Customs and Immigrations)
-Namibian Gun Permit
-Travel Documents, (i.e. Airline tickets, etc., passport)
-Letter of Invite (if your airline travels will bring you through South Africa
Things to pack in carry on:
-extra shirt for traveling, underwear, medications, any personal hygiene items (3 oz. only in quart size baggie
-Make copies of passport, travel insurance card(s), and important documents (drivers license, insurance cards, etc.) and keep them in safe place with you or on your person.
-Contact your credit card company and let them know you will be out traveling out of the country and let them know what state/country. Also make sure your cell phone is ready for roaming.
